['ramp] - Doombient One (2003)

Originally founded as RPM (5) by Stephen Parsick, Lambert Ringlage, and Frank Makowski in the spring of 1996. Ringlage left the project the same autumn, which also prompted the band's name change as the original name stemmed from their three initials. The new moniker refers to the Dutch word "de ramp" which means "disaster" or "catastrophe" -- in order to avoid the name being pronounced the English way, the band´s name was written in phonetic spelling.In 2009, Parsick continued ['ramp] as another solo enterprise which allowed him to focus on more traditional styles of electronic music (which originally were the inspiration to form ['ramp] at all) while using his name for releasing more experimental ambient music.

Steve Jolliffe ‎– Magical: In Memory Of Edgar Froese 1944-2015

A native of Britain, Steve Jolliffe has been an active keyboardist, flutist and saxophonist for over 35 years. His career started in 1967, when he met Rick Davies and formed a group called The Joint, which, after Steve left, evolved into Supertramp. Jolliffe's interest in classical music led him to the "Berlin High School for Music" in 1969. He was the first student accepted there who didn't have the ability to read music. And while at the school, he met Edgar Froese, and together with Klaus Schulze toured Germany as one of the earliest incarnations of Tangerine Dream.

After the Tangerine Dream album "Cyclone", Jolliffe left the band for a solo career. Since then he has made numerous albums in various styles new age, berlin-school electronic, ambient, experimental and psychedelic.

In 2015 he wrote the album "Magical" in memory of his friend Edgar Froese of Tangerine Dream who died that year. The music in this album is ambient with short moments of Berlin-school electronic music. There lots of ethereal pads, choral melodies, and synthesiser fx. Fans of Tangerine Dream will enjoy this album.

Each album sleeve is unique and custom hand-painted by Steve with watercolors and is signed and dated. The date depends on when the cover was painted, not the issue date of the music.
The CDr is also usually signed and comes in a plastic sleeve.
